Hi Guys, just want to blow off a bit ! Dont know if any of ye saw The Late Late when Pat was talking to the 2 women who had used donors to concieve!! Well maybe i'm alittle to sensitive, but it made me mad when the Kiwi (birth mother) replied to Pats question about how hard it is for some people to concieve, and she said 'it's not rocket science'!! Some people take so much for granted, if it was that easy there would be no need for fertility clinic's and we need not have waisted all our hard earned cash!!

It's akin to rocket science for some of us!

I wonder did any of you hear this on the radio recently.  There was a lad on Ray Darcy's quiz a couple of weeks ago who was asked what he did for a living and he gave details of his job which was relating to the ICSI procedure - it was very interesting what he had to say and Ray asked him several questions about it.  About five minutes later, Ray read out texts from people responding to what the lad had been saying about his work, including someone who texted in to say that IVF/ICSI was unnatural and surely it'd be better to allow nature to take its course - natural selection etc.    Luckily, Ray was on the ball and replied to the text saying that, for some people, IVF was their only option when the 'natural' option had not worked for them!  I was glad he got that in. It's far too easy to pass judgement from the sidelines.  No-one chooses IVF for the fun of it!
