Re: EVER HEARD OF CAAP PROTOCOL

Ah Noelleao, I am so sorry to hear what happened in your cycle. How are you doing now? It's absolutely devastating and very hard to accept when all appeared to be going so well, too.  Rant away here, Noelleao, as I think the only people who can really understand what it is like are those who have been there themselves. I'm so sorry...

Re: EVER HEARD OF CAAP PROTOCOL

HI EVERYONE

Thanks very much for your replies. The last 2 weeks were very hard for both of us ,I even took time off work just to sort out my head, going back tomorrow ,need to get back to some sort of normality. We have both decided to give up the ivf .It is just too hard to keep doing the drugs and having to deal with the emotional side was just to painful for both of us.   We have decided to go down the inter-country adoption route .We attended a meeting 2 years ago before we started our fertility treatment and It was always something we had in our minds . We were in contact with a couple yesterday who have adopted 2 kids and they have filled us in on all of their story, it is amazing to think that these kids who would not have any quality of life in their own country have now got such a great life, full of love and compassion from these people. I feel a sort of relief knowing that we are starting this new chapter in our lives .We both know it is a long hard ,very emotioal road also but we know now we can give it our all. When I have more information I will start up the adoption thread.

Thanks again for all your letters of sympathy and understanding .

Good luck to everybody on all your fertility treatments. We are thinking of all of you.

Love

Re: EVER HEARD OF CAAP PROTOCOL

Hi Noelleao, well done to you both on your decision - I know it can't have been easy. And the few weeks after a failed ivf cycle are crushingly difficult, I know that from my own experience.

The very best of luck to you with the adoption process and all that that entails. There's a board on here for adoption if you feel like sharing your thoughts there or asking any questions. I know there are plenty of people out there in the same boat as you and also who have already adopted from abroad.

Take care of yourself over the next while. I know you're back at work now and getting back into a routine, which is good, but I know I find it takes me about six weeks after a failed cycle before I really feel like my old self again, so be good to yourself
