Hope scan goes well next week. By working backwards they mean they look at their diary to see when they can fit you in for egg retrival (if doing regular ivf) or when they can do transfer as they only can schedual a few people for each day for each procedure. Egg retrival is done first thing in morning transfers are usually done whenall egg retrivals are completed as they only have the one theatre and recovery area. The procedure your having decides what time your appointment is IUI the least invasive procedure are in late afternoon I had one at 4pm They therefore book x number of woman in for transfer on set days as they don't work weekends they done what the embroy to reach day 5 and be ready for transfer on a saturday or sunday. By picking the end date first they minipulate your hormones so that they have control over this They don't want two many women either requiring retrival or transfer on same day and not enough time r worse still over weekend when no staff available. hope that makes it abit clearer I know I was only athe pill for about six weeks you need a minimal of 2 but if my period was late i wouldn't have been down regulated to fit with schedual. I was givebn a choice of 2 possible transfer dates a week apart well in advance long before i started my meds. Thanks for info on vhi site will definently look at that site to. Thanks for letting me know about vhi discussion link checked it out and it looks great out of curosity do you use same user name I tried to use same but it stated username had to be 8 characters I noticed other user names less than this. Picking pseudo names is a challange for me as I forget what I called myself When registering on this site I inadvertently used my full name panicked slightly as site is open to all and we have not spoke to our families yet about donation though intend to eventually if we are sucessful. Hence got it ammended asap and I then picked the name meave a friend who happened to text me at time. At the meetings I drop my alias don't know why I didn't just just use my own name but like I said I panicked when I realized my error so was playing it safe. Any how I will join vhi forum and wanted to thank you on it for introducing me to site and the very interesting thread. As my computer skills are dogey is your user name the one that is displayed on the site. We are paying first deposit next monday going to wait to after meeting saturday and may be able to pick doner 23 rd March if I took kathy up right. Take care

great news about your doner pick. We just sent off our last deposit six grand i still get nervous when i think about how much it all cost especialy if it dosent work We told our families about using donner but not how much it is costing.

Thanks very much,You are right from your responses I guessed you were Lindy I printed off them all and it was great to read them defentily will join you when I saw name Lyn I got confused and thought that doesnot sound like "our Lyn" and I was dying to jump in but wanted to introduce myself as say how I found site and thank you but didn't know who to thank and was afraid lindy might not know me and think I was mistaken r had lost the plot and made up an "imaginary friend" Thanks for clarfying it for me I can't wait to jump in, am going to meeting tomorrow and will probably join after that.. Even though I know rationally others are in the same boat It has been great to find you all prior to joining particularly before christmas it felt like a very lonely place. its great to talk to others who truely understand. We have not told our families yet they know we had ivf and 2 natural misscarriages and that we are also applying to adopt if we are sucessful we do intend to tell. Medical technology is advancing so fast that I reckon that within the childs lifetime routinue bloods tests will tell you your gentic/dna history and I couldn't risk them finding out later in life through a third party. Even if technology didnot advance I am proud of how we are all trying to create our families and that all children born through donation or ivf are very muched planned for an wanted. The money aspect of it is very scary I agree but if sucessful it is well worth it. We can only afford one go but if I don't try I would always regret it. So sorry to here about your two miscarriages my sister wet trough the same last year. I agree with you about advancing technology Im sure in a couple of years what we are going trough will be much easer and an every day occurance.
I had scan" internal " was nt to bad my lining is tin, so they have put me on two months supply of the pil .Was also told that our donner had started her treament. So just have to wait for a phone call from cathy to proceed on to next step.
