Hi there
I would be obliged if anyone who has had success with donor treatment could give me their opinion on the following. My husband and I are thinking about going for donor egg and donor sperm (my husband has high DNA fragmentation) treatment in Prague. We have had 3 failed IVF's most recently 2 weeks ago and I will be 40 in Oct. We have been told that the donors are anonymous - ie. we will not be able to pick them. We are not sure if this is the norm?
Not sure if we should just go donor sperm now....
We want to maximise our chances of success so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
We hope to attend a Nisig donor meeting soon but are away in Sept so will miss that one.

just noticed your posting today. we have been trying for a baby for over 5 years and last year we went to the Ukraine and had donor egg and donor sperm transfer and had a lovely baby daughter in December.
my husband had a poor DNA fragmentation result also and that was only discovered after 2 donor egg transfers! I am also in my 40s and my infertility was due to poor egg quality! I had one own egg IVF which didn't work. Both donors are anonymous. we were given a profile of the egg donor but very little information on the sperm donor.
it is a difficult decision to use both donors but when I look at our daughter we have no regrets. in fact a lot of people say she looks like me and I say thanks.
if you have any other queries feel free to ask. Nisig meetings are a great way to meet people and talk. I'm much better talking than writing!!
